Weather Event #7-Early-Mid March Severe Weather

A classic southwest-flow pattern conducive for severe thunderstorms was in place over the central United States from Thursday March 9 through Monday March 13. This resulted in several severe weather outbreaks including the largest March tornado outbreak since 1990, on Sunday March 12th across much of Missouri. Monday, March 20:
A "cold-core low" system helped produce several weak tornadoes in Oklahoma, which marked the first sucessful chase of the year for several people. Other severe thunderstorms tracked across the southeastern United States.
